▓█▓ WinRK was built from the ground up to provide the very ▓█▓
▓█▓ best security and compression ratios possible, while ▓█▓
▓█▓ requiring as little input from the user as it can. This ▓█▓
▓█▓ was done by integrating into WinRK a great deal of ▓█▓
▓█▓ intelligence and information gleaned from many years of ▓█▓
▓█▓ research into data compression. This knowledge is ▓█▓
▓█▓ automatically applied by the archiver when deciding how ▓█▓
▓█▓ to compress, order, and handle files within an archive in ▓█▓
▓█▓ such a way as to try to maximise the compression ratio, ▓█▓
▓█▓ and the reduce the time taken for future modifications. ▓█▓
▓█▓ WinRK was also designed with stability in mind. Unlike ▓█▓
▓█▓ most state of the art compressors, future versions of ▓█▓
▓█▓ WinRK have maintained as much backwards compatibility as ▓█▓
▓█▓ is possible. The inclusion of new algorithms, or new ▓█▓
▓█▓ knowledge about file types will not break compatibility ▓█▓
▓█▓ with older archives. The interface for WinRK was designed ▓█▓
▓█▓ to take advantage of all the capabilities of each archive ▓█▓
▓█▓ format supported. This has allowed us to support a new, ▓█▓
▓█▓ powerful, and intuitive paradigm for modifying archives, ▓█▓
▓█▓ inspired by CD burning software. This paradigm allows ▓█▓
▓█▓ many different and complex modifications to be scheduled ▓█▓
▓█▓ and performed at once, with simple and intuitive actions. ▓█▓
▓█▓ This makes WinRK ideal for managing large and complex ▓█▓
▓█▓ archives. WinRK combines many of the expected standard ▓█▓
▓█▓ archiving features with a new and more powerful GUI ▓█▓
