security, climate, telephone, home theatre, and the Internet. And
you can control it all by voice from anywhere in the home or
anywhere in the world. You can talk to the computer - to manipulate
devices like thermostats and lights or to retrieve information like
stock quotes - from anywhere in the home or the world
You donÆt have to rewire your house HAL will send commands from the
computer over your existing home powerlines to control devices
anywhere in or outside the home. Schedule your front lights by simply
telling HAL, "Every night at 7pm, turn on the front lights for five
hours." Or if you get to work and remember that you forgot to turn
down the heat, simply call home and tell HAL, "Set the thermostat
to 64 degrees."
