The Clone Hunter is an utility, that scans your entire hard drive or selected folders
only, locate identical files using different search criteria specified by you and present
them for your decision - whether remove those files from your system or leave them
or some of them. The Clone Hunter helps you to claim hard disks space that is occupied
by tons of identical files.
What the Clone Hunter can do?
With the Clone Hunter you can
╖ Scan several folders and drives at once;
╖ Scan separate folders;
╖ Scan files by name, extension, date, content and other criteria;
╖ Scan files of specific types, exclude files of specific types from the scan
or scan files of all types;
╖ Specify size of scanned files;
╖ Exclude some folders from the search;
╖ Lists discovered duplicate files in a comfortable tree-like view;
╖ Get a detailed statistics about duplicate files;
╖ Comfortable sort results;
╖ Files are deleted to the Windows Recycle Bin to give user one more opportunity to
cancel the removal;
╖ Run or open files directly from the list;
╖ After the scan completed, you have the full control over files found - you can
keep oldest files, keep newest files, run files directly from the list etc
Security
To provide a maximum security and to keep track on what you have deleted with the
Clone Hunter, the program writes all information in a log file. You can manage your
logs with the Logs tab of the program main window.
