The Next Generation Modeling Software
The advanced architectural modeling software for AutoCAD and IntelliCAD,
BricsCad Architecturals allows you to take advantage of advanced 3D
modeling in your 2D environment. It's easy to quickly create complex 3D
buildings and structures - just add and subtract volumes. Need to make
changes to the model ? No problem - all relationships between walls,
windows, slabs, roofs and openings are maintained automatically, and
scale-dependent 2D drawings, quantities and cost estimates are instantly
updated after a change. BricsCad Architecturals is based on
industry-standard technology such as XML and DWG and can be customized via
Visual Basic for Applications.

New Features
- New STAIR command, launching the new StairBuilder.
The StairBuilder prompts the user to select a walkline Linear Form. The
form's basewire is used as the walkline, while its height is used as the
stair height. By combining straight and curved runs of steps, landings,
and applying winders at start, middle or end, a wealth of different stair
types can be created. Add to this that every component of a stair can
easily be modified after placement, and the possibilities become endless.
- New HANDRAIL command
The handrail tool prompts the user to select a linear form that is used to
derive the path of the handrail. Underneath the main handrail, a number of
parallel rails can be added. Balusters can be added to the rail as user
defineable compound blocks, positioned at any desired interdistance.
- The COM API underwent a thorough update to improve robustness and
performance, as well as increasing simplicity and coherence of
procedures. BaAuto.dll replaces the old BnaAuto.dll and existing
plugins are replaced by updated versions. Important : existing
Architecturals COM applications will need to be adapted to the new

Control Surface Editor
- Control Surfaces have a new user interface that allows to fully edit
existing Control Surfaces.
- Control Surfaces can now support Digital Terrain Model definitions,
the DTM definitions in turn are created with the new "DTM" command.
- Control Surfaces now also support Loft surfaces. Lofts are defined by
a set of Fit Wires, and optionally a set of Guides. The Fit Wires
should be planar and not parallel to the Controlsurface plane. The
Control Surface will be extended with a surface that is fitted
through the Fit Wires. The (optional) guides should only contain one
edge and start on the first Fit Wire and end on the last Fit Wire.
The guides influence the way the surface is fitted through the Fit
Wires.
Enhancements
- Control Surfaces : the sides, parallel to the control surface up
direction, are no longer offset when performing a perpendicular
offset on a control surface. Only the user-defined geometry such as
faces, extruded wires and DTM's are offset perpendicular. In other
words, roof slab edges will no longer 'fall to the ground' when they
touch the boundaries of the control surface faces.
- Drawing generation : edges separating coplanar ('smoothly touching')
faces, made of the same material, are hidden now. This is not the
case in Frames where they remain visible on purpose.
- Hidden line : improved algorithm for intersections between straights
and ellipsesà
