1.0 Dir Prudence Features
--------------------------------------------------------------

Dir Prudence is a Win32 GUI file comparison utility. It
compares the files and directories in one path with the files
and directories in another path. The comparison may be between
directories or individual files.

It is primarily intended for confirming the accuracy of
backups. The backups may be on any directory of any volume,
on a local computer or on a network.

Dir Prudence supports command line parameters. This enables
Dir Prudence to be run from a batch file or a Windows shortcut
with predetermined settings. Using an appropriate scheduling
program, Dir Prudence may even be run unattended, and it can
be configured to shut itself down when finished.

Dir Prudence does not modify the Windows Registry, nor does it
place any files in the system directories.

Dir Prudence does not require large amounts of memory.

Dir Prudence supports Windows long file names and UNC paths.

Dir Prudence supports OLE Drag and Drop, so drives, directories
and files can be dragged from Windows Explorer or the Windows
Desktop into Dir Prudence.

Minimum Requirements:

Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0 or later.

  256-colour Graphics Display

--------------------------------------------------------------
2.0 Installation and Uninstallation
--------------------------------------------------------------

2.1 Installation:
-----------------

Create a directory on your computer.

Extract all the files in DIRPRU.ZIP to the new directory.

In the new directory run DIRPRU.EXE.

  That's it.

2.2 Uninstallation:
-------------------

Delete the directory in which Dir Prudence was installed.

Note: The default initialisation file is in the Dir Prudence
directory. Users may specify an alternate
initialisation file. If a user has created an
alternate initialisation file in a different location
from the Dir Prudence directory then that file should
be manually deleted as part of the uninstallation
        process.

Description.....: Dir Prudence is a Win32 GUI file comparison utility. It
compares the files and directories in one path with the
files and directories in another path. The comparison may
be between directories or individual files. It is primarily
intended for confirming the accuracy of backups. The backups
may be on any directory of any volume, on a local computer
                  or on a network.

Protection......: Startup Delay/Nag, Crippled

Method / Time...: SoftICE / 10 Minutes

System Req......: WinALL

Crack Notes.....: Run the patch in the program directory to modify
                  dirpru.exe.

The startup delay/nag is removed. Note that this
software is crippled and many advanced options are
                  not available.

To the author: that About dialog trick drove me nuts...

Authenticity....: My cracks are PGP signed (note the .sig file). To
verify the file came from me and has not been tampered
with, issue this command (as applies to PGP 2.6.x):

                  PGP crack.sig crack.exe

You should get a message stating that it is a good
signature from me. Of course you will need my public
key, which is available on many PGP public keyservers.
