    LightAlloy - The small but powerful alternative to Windows Media
    Player. Although Windows Media Player is a free and useful tool, many
    people want more from their media players - since our first version we
    have been asked for many new features to be added that are not within
    Windows Media Player. Because of the time this takes we have to charge
    and by charging it also means that we will continue to develop and
    enhance this product.
    
    LightAlloy supports AVI, MPEG, ASF, MP3, WAV, MID and other multimedia
    formats, has an easy-to-use interface with an optional control panel
    and positioning bar available during full-screen play. You can change
    the playback rate from one-tenth to double speed and customize the
    movie size with or without aspect ratio preservation. The player can
    also optionally change your screen resolution when it switches to
    full-screen and back. 
    
    You can adjust the properties of all DirectShow filters and build a
    play list with bookmarks that you can save and load later. It can even
    step through a video stream as slowly as one frame at a time. 
    
    This also lets you take screen-shots, drag-n-drop files on the player
    and customize the keyboard layout. It supports WinLIRC infrared remote
    control support and has a video decoder benchmark test. Zooming and
    positioning in full-screen mode, multiple monitors, and subtitles are
    all supported.
