IMAGE HYPERLINK

The bug on the image hyperlink has been fixed and we have added a target frame 
for navigating within framesets.

Now you have the option to save the current settings on exit or leave them at 
the last stored default.

MULTI-USER REGISTER

Those users managing several registered sites will be pleased to know that 
v2.1 can encrypt  images so that the one master set can be used with the 
Domain Lock on all of your sites. Now only one copy of the program is needed.

IMPROVED INTERFACE

The browser work place has been remodelled and enlarged to improve work with 
larger images.

IMPROVED SECURITY

With all the kids these days trying to crack codes as a hobby we have removed 
the Registration code parameter from the applet's html and changed the 
encryption algorithm.

FRONTPAGE BUG FIX

Some of us were having problems where the capital letters were being altered 
to lower-case thus breaking the source paths. This is now fixed.

v2.1 from ftp://www.artistscope.com/artis21.zip

The system coding has been completely rewritten so you will need new 
registration codes to match your site. Please email [email protected] giving 
the web site that you registered. From there we can locate your registration and 
issue the new codes. If you have extra sites registered include them also.

HOW IT WORKS
############

Instead of placing a normal image onto the html page. The image is first 
encrypted and then inserted into a viewer that sits on the page replacing the
image. The encrypted image is unusable unless in its encoded viewer. It is 
only the encrypted files that are uploaded to the server, so the master files 
are safe from everyone. 


EVALUATION & DEMO

The download is the full version but with some limitations to encourage you to 
register. The viewers that it creates as a demo will expire in 48 hours.
When satisfied you can register online nominating your intended web site address 
for a master encryption key that unlocks the program and enables the Domain Lock. 
    

TO INSTALL THE ARTISTSCOPE
##########################

The file that you downloaded is a self-extracting zip file that will open 
automatically without special Zip software.

Unzip the downloaded file into a temporary folder. Open this folder and 
click on the SETUP.EXE file and follow the instructions until setup is 
complete. The installation will automatically create a new folder on your 
C drive (optional) where it can be easily located.

The install program simply loads the Artistscope files onto your hard drive 
in the order that they need. It will not affect your registry or add any 
files except to the Artistscope folder. All the files that are installed 
should be found in C:\Artistscope. It is strongly recommended at this stage 
not to change that setting until you are familiar with the directory structure.

To start using the Artistscope click on either the desktop icon that the 
installer created or go to your program manager where you will find 
another start icon. If you chose to install to a different directory other 
than to C:\Artistscope, then you will have to alter the icon settings. To 
do this, go right click on the icon and select "preferences", then adjust 
the link settings path to match the location of the Artistscope.exe file.

To learn how to use Secure Image, open the application and go to the 
top tool bar of its window and click on HELP. Here you will find complete 
Help and Operating instructions. For more recent and updated information 
you can follow the links at the side of the Help page after connecting 
to the Internet. Then you can visit the latest information and keep in 
touch with upgrades and new releases.


REGISTRATION
############

Registration is made by paying a licence fee online by CREDIT CARD or mail 
order by fax to 612 9557 6310. Each registration key is uniquely assigned 
to your nominated web site or URL. Each web site must be registered to be 
able to use the domain lock.

To access the Domain Lock and unlock the other limitations you need two 
reg codes. These are a matched pair based on your URL and will be emailed 
to you after verifying that the Web site address given in the registration 
is working.

To install the codes for the Domain Lock go to HELP in the top toolbar and 
select REGISTER. In the new window you will see two text boxes - one for each 
part of the code - paste the codes in exactly as sent to you - then click OK.

To obtain your registration keys without opening the software go to our web 
site at www.artistscope.com and follow the REGISTER links.
