fe-safe calculate the fatigue life, provides comprehensive graphical
output for critical elements. These include cycle and damage
distributions, calculated stress histories, and crack orientation.
fe-safe will calculate which loads or loading directions are the most
significant in causing fatigue damage. This makes re-design easier,
and simplifies component testing. Complex assemblies containing
different materials and surface finish can be analysed in a single
run. Selected parts of a model can be analysed. The effects of
temperature and time-dependant creep-fatigue can be included in the
analysis. fe-safe can be used by non-specialist designers - it will
automatically select the most appropriate analysis method, and will
estimate materials properties if test data is not available.
Specialist engineers can select from a number of advanced multi-axial
fatigue methods, and can set up standard analyses for easy re-use.
User-configurable features can be accessed and used to set defaults.
fe-safe features an intuitive user interface with integrated
graphics, macro recording of standard tasks, and on-line help. The
user interface is identical for all FEA codes and is easy to use.
