FAQ's PLEASE READ! 

Does 321RIP! work on the Platinum and DVD Xtreme RF version?? 
Answer: Yes 321RIP works on ALL RF versions to date, please remember to download the Xtreme 
version of 321RIP, else you will get a "Cannot find the file to Patch" error. 

Can I remove the Ripper after patching?? 
Yes. A backup of the file is made before patching. Simply delete the bouducon.dll 
file and rename the bouducon.bak file to bouducon.dll 

How to use: 
Download, and unzip to ANYWHERE on your system, just remeber where it is!. 
Double click the Icon, and click the button!

In the event you have more then 1 RF product on your PC (eg: DVDXCopy PlatinumRF and 
DVDXtreme) then you will get a menu select asking which one to patch. After you select then 
you get the main program, Just click the button.

In the event you have installed the your RF product in a non standard location (eg: On the 
D drive) then you will get a file select box to select where you put it. Just navigate to 
the Xpress.exe file and click open. After you select then you get the main program, Just 
click the button.

The program now should have CSS rip functions enabled

to make programs that worked under XP SP1 work under XP SP2. 

the programs I tried to and succesfully installed and run are: DVDX Copy Platinum 3.2.1 and DVD X Maker 2.1
the same problem with DivX, but according to some reports, the procedure is the same. can't say if for DivX it works.

now, what you have to do:

the easy way:

first of all, check if the Data Execution Prevention is available on your machine: 
open System Properties, Advanced tab, Performance button, Settings.
click on "Turn on DEP on all programs except:" and browse for DVDX Copy Platinum.exe and  DVD X Maker.exe
click Add and Apply.
now you can use the programs.

the hard way:

if you can't modify the settings for Data Execution Prevention for various reasons ( the processor doesn't support
this feature, or something else) you have two options:

1. manually edit the"boot.ini" file.
To disable DEP, perform the following actions:
click Start  Run 
Enter 
Notepad %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Boot.ini 
under [operating systems] replace the parameter
 /NoExecute=xxxxx with /Execute 
save the Boot.ini file 
Restart your computer
IMPORTANT: save a copy of your original "boot.ini" file as a backup before you make changes!

NOTE: if your machine does not support Data Execution Prevention, you will see:

you can safely modify /execute:

2. use the .exe provided, originally written for DivX, change the "boot.ini" so Data Execution Prevention
becomes available in System Properties. as I said before, not working with DivX, but the app open
the dialog for adding programs. select the program you want to be available and click Apply.
NOTE: when starting the QuickFix for DivX, select just Windows XP-COMPATIBILITY FIX: DivX. this
way you just enable your machine to allow programs to be selected in System Properties, Advanced, Settings,
Data Execution Prevention.

Final notes:

tested on DVDX Copy Platinum 3.2.1 and DVD X Maker 2.1
DVDX Rescue gave error accessing the drive

                     DVDX Copy Platinum, DVDX Rescue, DVDX Maker
                 

1.   First of all during startup this app checks if internet connection is available.        
   
   If it will be, you ill *not* have available activation by phone method,
     
   so you either have to block that (check with your firewall), or *before* you 
 
   run the app, disconnect from  internet.
  
2.   Also, during registration, you better do not have any windows open with strings   
      
   like C.O.R.E, CORE, keygen or Phrozen Crew, otherwise the app will not even
  
   jump to the main routine. 

3.   Now, start the app, copy  your license id from our keymaker, enter any password.    
 
4.   Select Activation Method > By Phone; you will be asked then for your phone   

   activation password, use this one: 32449374, (not the keygen). 
  
5.   Next screen you will see  user code 1 and user code 2, copy them to our keymaker
   
   to generate your activation code and register with it.
   
6.   If you will get a message that invalid code was entered and so on it means there                  

   is a problem with your system time, you will have to set it back to 13 sept 2003,
  
   re-run the app and register it then..
