▒ Copy the exe file in the directory where you have installed ▒
▒ Diablo II v1.00 and run it. The previos version of this patch ▒
▒ allowed you only to play the first act without the cd's. Now ▒
▒ that bug is fixed ;-) ▒
▒ I will explain one more time ;-) ▒
▒ In order for this patch to work you have to copy the file ▒
▒ called d2char.mpq from the Diablo playdisc into the directory ▒
▒ where you installed Diablo 2. ▒
▒ You can save your space by not copying the following ▒
▒ files: d2video.mpq, d2speech.mpq and d2music.mpq. ▒
▒ The patch allows you to run Diablo 2 without those files, but ▒
▒ you if you have enough space you can copy them. ▒
▒ If you decide not to copy d2speech.mpq then you should ▒
▒ set, when you will play Diablo 2, NPC Speech - Text Only. ▒
▒ You can set this option by pressing ▒
▒ Escape | Options | Sound options | Npc Seech. ▒

▒ Diablo II is a VERY different play experience for each of ▒
▒ the five character classes. The basic tactics and advanced ▒
▒ strategies best employed by a Barbarian, for instance, are ▒
▒ not at all appropriate for a Necromancer. ▒
▒ After you've played one character class for several hours, ▒
▒ try your hand at one of the others. You won't be disappointed. ▒
▒ You can also develop a familiar character class in new ▒
▒ ways. That is, after creating a new character, this time ▒
▒ learn a different set of skills and you will begin to realize ▒
▒ the unparalleled replayability offered by Diablo II. ▒
▒ Once you have defeated Diablo in Regular difficulty you ▒
▒ may play in Nightmare difficulty and after Nightmare is Hell ▒
▒ difficulty. For the ultimate challenge, you may create a ▒

▒ Finally, Diablo II takes on an entirely different feel in a ▒
