Acoustica is a powerful and versatile audio editor. All you
need to digitize analog recordings using the software is a
connection from the sound source (such as a record player,
tape deck or microphone) to the sound card. Acoustica handles
the rest. That way you can preserve your old tapes and LP
records way into the digital age.
A multitude of high quality processing tools and effects are
integrated in Acoustica. Acoustica automatically splits audio
tracks and removes clicks and static noise with its advanced,
yet easy to use audio restoration tools. You can save and load
your recordings in all common audio file formats, including
wav, wma, ogg or mp3. You can also burn CDs using the
integrated burner without leaving the program.
Wizards for the Newbies
Audio editing with Acoustica is as easy as it gets ù all the
way to a perfect result. The integrated cleaning wizard helps
beginners record, restore and burn. The annoying static noise
from cassette recordings and the clicks and crackles from your
old LP records are removed effectively.
You can select any region (sample accurate) and channel for
further processing. All processing steps can be un-done all
the way back to the original recording. Acoustica never
touches your original file during editing. All editing is done
on temporary copies of your source files (non-destructive
editing), thus making the program fast and secure.

Creative and Precise as an Audio Engineer
Acoustica gives life to old and dull recordings. You can
simply synthesize high frequency harmonics to add atmosphere
to your recording. You can alter the timbre of your sound in
almost any way possible with the six band full parametric
equalizer. Noise is reduced manually or automatically,
annoying clicks and crackles are removed and you can enhance
the stereo perception. You can select the complete recording
or sample accurately defined regions for processing.
You can store the current settings of all the tools and
effects for later use using the preset manager. Furthermore,
you can monitor the results of the current settings using the
real-time "preview". You can even create chains of effects and
tools with the new effect chain editor. The complete chain can
be "previewed" or saved for later use and you can easily
bypass single elements in the chain. DirectX plug-ins are
easily integrated into Acoustica and can be applied as easily
as the integrated tools and effects.
You are your own audio engineer with Acoustica. You have
access to so many versatile tools you would otherwise only
have in expensive equipment for professionals.
New in Version 3.3
The new version 3.3 contains several new features for both the
ambitioned and the less experienced user. Users new to audio
editing will welcome the new Cleaning Wizard that simplifies
the transfer of LP records or audio tapes to CDs. The Cleaning
Wizard automates the whole process from recording and track
splitting to audio restoration and CD recording.
The new effect chain editor in version 3.3 allows the user to
chain internal processing tools and plug-ins. The chains can
be saved including their settings for later use. Each
processing step in the chain can be bypassed and the
processing order changed by drag and drop.
