Progeny Desktop is the single-user version featuring a fully customizable relational database
with an integrated pedigree drawing component. Desktop can be upgraded to the Enterprise version at any time.
Progeny Desktop contains the same features as Enterprise, except for the following differences:
Single User Database
Only one user can access the database at a time from a PC or network drive.
Cannot Connect To Other ODBC Databases
Desktop does not allow you to connect directly to your existing backend database to enter/modify data using Progeny's interface. You can only connect to Progeny databases.
RANGE OF USE
Desktop can be used to build and customize databases for Progeny Lite users, and can be easily upgraded to Progeny Enterprise as your program grows and the need for multi-user collaboration increases.
