Active Delivery 2.0 Suite contains Active Delivery 2.0 and DynaZip Complete
4.0. The Complete version is more advanced than the AX version we previously
released so we included it here as well.
Sometimes an ordinary ZIP file just doesn't do enough, particularly when you
don't want to have to put an unzip tool on your customer's machine. That's
where Active Delivery (or "AD") comes in. Royalty-free, AD lets your Windows
application convert zip files into self-extracting powerhouses. These
"packages" are fully self-contained, and spring to life on your end-user's
computer; displaying splash-screens, running programs, extracting and/or
decrypting files, registering components, displaying readme files, and much
more.
It's the perfect addition to Active Server Page (ASP) websites, providing
automated content packaging and delivery. No longer do you have to maintain
large groups of pre-created static content. Now your users can request custom
content that your website, under the control of AD, then packages, ready to
send out, fully unattended, fully error-free.
AD packages lend themselves to easy customization and internationalization;
choose the icon, the text, the background, and so on. And AD supports
easy-to-use "templates", so that once you've decided on a general look-and
-feel you can apply that to multiple AD packages.
Utilities include the AD Wizard for interactive manual package design, and the
AD Script editor for those times when you really want to get close to the
inner workings.
The royalty-free DynaZIP Complete is an important leap forward in data
compression components. Fully ZIP-compatible, DynaZIP Complete lets Windows
developers add zip and unzip capabilities to all of their 16 and 32 bit
programs. It's ultra-reliable, super-fast, and easy to implement, with code
examples, on-line help systems and a comprehensive user's manual. Instructions
are provided for use in Active Server Pages (ASP) Web sites for automated
zip/unzip operations. DynaZIP Complete supports long filenames, disk-spanning,
encryption, dual progress monitors, easy internationalization, multi-threading,
memory-to-memory zip/unzip, and much more.
