■ Release Notes ■

First off, big greets to ELEGANCE for the supply and farewell. They were one
of the few groups that we at TNT actually respected. And that list of groups
is extremely short. Also, goodbye to the long-lived PHXiSO and to
Mr. M.V (who probably doesn't even know who I am).
Good riddance to BREEZE: sorry, but you won't be missed!
NOTE:
Next, this game seems to run well on Win 9x systems, except for that it takes
about 30 seconds to load the Video Card selection screen when you launch the
game. On WinXP it took under 1 second.
PROPER NOTES:
TNT was already going to pre this when "FILTH" did their release. So we had
to REPACK our release to add this "PROPER NOTES" section. Boo!!!!
Anyway, here are the reasons for PROPER.
1. The FILTH Installer messes up on Win 9x. It leaves 9 Megs of useless OGG
Files in your sound\ directory. Even if it works on WinXP, it MUST work
on Win 98 too as that is a supported OS by this game.
2. More importantly, either the Installer or the Packed data is messed up.
For this, we did a separate INSTALL & test on each of Win 98 and Win XP
systems. There is game glitch and we don't know why. We also will not be
bothered wasting hours to fix their release. So we PRE our working one.
The glitch, do these steps to see it:
Launch the game --> Get to the Main Menu --> Select "Challenge Mode"
(the one with the Paper Files to the right of the White Bus) --> Select
"Challenge 3" --> Click Continue to start the Challenge --> Click
"Options", the right-most button on the bottom toolbar --> All of the
Options are Shifted to the Left.
The button PICTURES are correct. However, when you click a button, it
does what the Button to the Left of it should do.
"Load" does NOTHING since no other button is to the left.
"Save" opens the LOAD SCREEN.
"Quit" turns the MUSIC on or off.
The "X" button to close the Options does NOTHING.
3. Reason #2 suggests that other areas in the game could have similar button
issues or even completely different problems. Who can be sure? We don't
care to test it futher.
4. Our release can take almost 100 megs less diskspace installed. While not
a valid scene PROPER reason, it is still a good reason to get our release.
5. FILTH uses a password on their RAR files. Which fyi FILTH, isn't going to
do jack-shit to stop your P2P web friends from spreading your releases.
I, the lame bitch writing this NFO, loves DOS. I use DOS rar to extract
every damn scene release I use. Fuck WinRAR. I had to manually enter
this lame Mixed Upper-Lower case password MANUALLY as pasting did not work
into DOS rar. It is very annoying and only hurts scene people.

PRISON TYCOON allows you to build and run your very own correctional facility
from the comfort of your own home, on your PC.
Control the layout of your prison buildings and the arrangement of the rooms
and facilities within them. Place dormitories and cellblocks, mess halls and
gymnasiums, but don't expect to be able to build death row right away.
When you begin you will have a low security rating and must, with effort and
managerial skill, improve your prison, maintain inmate discipline and increase
your security to maximum. As time passes more inmates will arrive and you must
deal with each new influx as they step off the prison bus, all of them needing
to be housed and fed.
Raise funds for the upkeep of your inmates, staff and facilities by building
on-site factories where your inmates can work. Will you rehabilitate offenders
by allowing them learn trade skills or educate themselves while in prison, or
discuss their issues with the prison Therapist? Or will you simply send in the

Decompressed Size = 364 megs (if you're kewl) -OR- 459 megs. Are you kewl?
Lossy Compression = MP3 Encoding of most of the WAV sound files
1. UnZIP all archives to a temporary directory.
2. UnRAR with full paths to a directory of your choice.
3. Run SETUP.BAT in the directory where you extracted the RAR files.
4. Configure game settings/options with:
"Prison Tycoon.exe"
5. To start the game, run or make a shortcut in Windows for:
"Prison Tycoon.exe"
6. * Optional: * step for the "non-kewl" peoples out there.
If one of following 3 conditions applies to you:
a) You get sound/music in the game, but the game performs slowly because you
have an old-ass, slow PC.
b) You get no sound and/or music in the game.
c) You have problems with the sound and/or music.
...then run the file TNT-SFX.BAT in your game directory, which will decode
the MP3 files back into the original WAV format.
NOTE:
We have encoded (thus shrinking) the original WAV files into MP3 files that
have WAV file headers. This allows the game to play the compressed MP3
files as if they were WAV files, AS LONG AS YOUR SYSTEM HAS THE PROPER
MPEG LAYER-III (MP3) CODECS INSTALLED (as most people probably do). A good
reason to do this is a HUGE saving in DiskSpace with the exact same sound
quality as if you Decode the MP3 files back into WAVs. However "on-the-fly"
MP3 decoding takes more CPU cycles then playing straight WAV files. So, we
give you the choice to DECODE them if you like. Nothing new here,
WAV-header MP3 files existed back in 1998 or earlier. ...and we did this
before on many other rips.
