PowerDVD PRO EX supports full Dolby Digital EX. Dolby Pro Logic in
fact uses a single matrixed (not discrete) surround channel (even
though people use two surround speakers for playback of Pro Logic
material) while Dolby Digital 5.1 has two discrete surround channels
(left and right surround) to which Dolby Digital 5.1 EX adds a
matrixed rear center channel. PowerDVD PRO EX ensures perfect
compatibility with both today's and tomorrow's DVD technology,
supporting the universal Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital EX 6.1 and
7.1 industry standards.
Superior DVD audio playback is ensured, thanks to the digital
processors powerful, crystal-clear sound.
