PVR stands for Personal Video Recorder. MainConcept's new software is
a digital video recorder you can use to record video footage on to
your computer from television via a video card. This is done in
excellent MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 quality. Then, you can burn the recorded
files directly to a Video CD (VCD), Super Video CD (SVCD) or even
DVD. The MainConcept PVR makes it easy to record your favorite films
and TV shows to your computer. Now, you don't have to worry about
those annoying commercial breaks. The new PVR enables you to remove
them in no time at all. With the digital video recorder you are the
one who decides when it is time for a break! And you won't miss a
single second, because the PVR will continue exactly at the position
where you stopped it. The powerful timeshifting option allows you to
play back a clip during the recording process. Program the movies you
want to record with your computer by setting the easy to use timer.
Automatic ad detection is another interesting feature not found with
a normal video recorder. The powerful playlist and film archive
features make it easy to organize your video clips. Create your
individual archive for your favorite films and sort the channels, TV
shows and movies however you want.
