CodeWizard is a unique coding standards enforcement tool that
uses patented Source Code Analysis technology (patent #5,860,011) to
help developers prevent errors and standardize C++ code automatically.
CodeWizard spontaneously enforces C++ coding standards, saving hours
of labor-intensive analysis.
CodeWizard's coding suggestions provide developers with the
wisdom of industry experts. Novices and experienced developers alike
can improve their coding skills and produce more reliable code with
every use. CodeWizard is especially valuable when used across a
development team because it makes code easier for other developers to
understand and use.
CodeWizard enforces over 70 coding standards automatically. These
standards are highly sophisticated and cannot be enforced by
compilers. CodeWizard manages the correlations between complicated
coding standards and the minimal information used by compilers across
the entire class hierarchy, thereby implementing complicated C++
coding standards that other tools cannot.
To customize CodeWizard to a particular project or user, you can
easily suppress coding standards that do not pertain to a specific
exceptional case. CodeWizard's suppression mechanism is controlled
from the GUI, making it easy for your team to tailor CodeWizard so
that it will only report violations of specific coding standards you
have chosen to enforce for the current project.
If you would like to enforce additional coding standards that are
not included in CodeWizard, you can write your own rules using
CodeWizard's new RuleWizard feature. RuleWizard allows you to to
define and implement coding standards without relying on API. You can
build coding standards by pointing and clicking, and RuleWizard will
display a flow chart for each standard. During testing, CodeWizard
implements RuleWizard coding standards along with existing ParaSoft
coding standards. ParaSoft also provides a service to users who would
prefer to have their own coding standards custom-made for their
projects.
