The M-Series project environment
MGeobase is the timesaving and user-friendly project
environment for the M-Series. MGeobase offers smart
geotechnical workflow support, and assures quality by
(re) use of shared and reliable project data.
You can store and use imported field data and soil
parameters to create 1D and 2D geometries with the help
of several power tools. Different M-Series components
can directly access the centrally stored data. MGeobase
connects easily to company databases. Starting from
release 2.8 (spring 2003), you can use MGeobase for
highly efficient batch analysis of large series of
cross-sections.
NOTE:
Interbase Client/Server
Interbase is the database type used by MGeobase. There
are two options:
If the database resides on the same computer as the
program MGeobase, install the Interbase Client/Server
and the Interbase Configuration.
MGeobase can also operate in a network configuration
(Client/Server). In this case, the project databases are
installed and maintained on a central database server
while the program is installed on the user PC (Client).
In this case, you must install the Interbase
Client/Server and the Interbase Configuration on the
database server. On the PC(s) of the user(s), you must
install only the Interbase Client (in addition to
MGeobase of course).
In both cases, while installing the Interbase
Client/Server you must select the upper four check
boxes.
