Drag and File Gold is a full-featured file management utility that supports FTP and includes Drag and Zip,
a ZIP management utility. Access your drives from a small, floating drivebar. Use drag-and-drop to move,
copy and delete files; view different drives in separate windows; add file descriptions; view files;
and perform tree and branch batch operations on tagged files.
FTP capabilities are integrated, making it easy to drag and drop files between local and remote sites,
or to tag files and quickly upload them. You can create hot keys and shortcuts,
format and copy diskettes and use the built-in DOS command line to run Windows or DOS programs,
execute DOS commands, and recall previous commands.
A neat feature of Drag and File is the ability to associate data files with multiple applications.
For example, BMP files could be associated with Paintbrush, PhotoShop and Paint Shop Pro,
and you can choose which one to launch from a menu.
This "Gold" version adds integrated zipping and unzipping using Drag and Zip,
a full-featured ZIP management utility. It also handles TAR, GZ, MIME, UUencoded and Xxencoded files.
