INTRODUCTION
------------
Did you program your keyboard with the DOS version of AutoCAD?  Were you
frustrated when you found out that you weren't able to do the same in
the Windows version?  Or maybe you know that there must be a quicker way
to work with AutoCAD for Windows.  The solution: AutoHook.

AutoHook is a macro recorder/player for AutoCAD for Windows.  You may
program key combinations to play any AutoCAD or Autolisp commands just
as if you had typed them in at the command prompt yourself.

AutoHook monitors all keyboard input to both the AutoCAD graphics window
and the AutoCAD text window.  If more than one session of AutoCAD is
running, AutoHook will monitor each session.  AutoHook ignores all other
windows and programs including AutoCAD dialog boxes.  This allows you to
program the arrow keys for instance and still have the arrow keys function
normally in the DDEDIT command as well as in your favorite word processor.

When AutoHook finds a key combination that has an assigned macro, it
traps the pressed key combination and makes AutoCAD think that the macro
has been typed instead.

AutoHook must be running (either windowed or minimized) for the macros to
be recognized by AutoCAD.  Your queue that AutoHook is running will be
the addition of the text "*Hooked*" to the AutoCAD title bar.

INSTALLATION
------------
Copy all files to a single directory.  You're done.

To make AutoHook load automatically every time you start windows, drag
AUTOHOOK.EXE from File Manager into your StartUp group in Program
Manager.  To make AutoHook load minimized at start up, single click on
the AutoHook icon in the StartUp group to highlight it, then from the
Program Manager menu choose File|Properties to bring up the Program Item
Properties dialog box.  Check the Run Minimized box and select OK.

The default keys and macros are listed below.  These may be edited or
deleted to suit your own needs.
