From the developer: "The CD-ROM has provided a useful medium for delivering content.
Under Windows, the CD-ROM supports the autorun.inf script, which allows programs to
automatically start when a CD is inserted. But what happens when you want something
other than an executable to load when a CD is inserted? Enter AutoRun, a very useful
program for loading up any registered file when a CD is inserted. AutoRun takes any file
you specify; an Image file (GIF, JPEG), HTML Document, PDF file, MP3, you name it and
loads the file into its registered program. "Version 2.1 of AutoRun gives you all the
functionality of the previous versions but with the added bonus of AutoRun Assistant.
The Assistant helps you to configure your autorun.inf files quickly and easily through
an intuitive, and easy-to-use interface. The Assistant guides you through each step and
helps you to get the most of all of AutoRun's features and switches. The Assistant
generates your .inf file and copies everything to your working folders! The Assistant
features a help system that gives you access to detailed explanations of everything that
AutoRun offers as well as the ability to test your autorun functionality without having
to burn a CD. AutoRun now supports the new 'Secondary Program' switch which allows you to
specify an additional program to launch. This is useful if your customers may need to
launch a viewer for your files (for example Adobe Acrobat). AutoRun also supports a new
'Splash Screen' switch that allows you to display your company logo or product image while
the CD is loading. Now anyone can create professional quality CD-ROMs.
