merely make the drive invisible. Steganos Safe, however, is based on
AES, the world's most progressive encryption algorithm which works
with 256-bit-long codes. Like all other Steganos encryption codes,
it has never been cracked.
Encrypt your data on a USB stick, mobile phone or digital camera.
Save your passwords for the Safe on them as well. Simply connect
your device, and the corresponding secure drives open automatically.
Of course, you can also enter your password manually.
Steganos Portable Safe turns a memory stick into a mobile safe: Its
contents can easily be decrypted on any PC with no additional
software. Add new data - as soon as the memory stick is removed, all
information is encrypted. Or burn encrypted archives on CD, DVD or
DVD DL.
With Steganos Shredder, you can destroy unwanted documents or entire
folders permanently. The Deep Cleaning Shredder removes all junk
data from your hard drive. This can be done by simply overwriting it
if you want it to disappear quickly. Or, if you wish, you can use
the technology employed by the US Department of Defense (DoD
5220.22M/NISPOM 8-306). We recommend that you use the extremely
thorough Gutmann method for your most sensitive data as it
overwrites it 35 times.
