What is BootLocker?
BootLocker is a security program that runs whenever you turn your computer on. By doing this, it will stop unwanted users from accessing important
files or programs without having an account on the system. BootLocker stops even the most advanced hacking techniques, including stopping users
from bypassing their startup files by pressing F5 or F8. BootLocker includes an advanced Administration program that can set numerous options. You
can create, delete, and rename users, and you can also change a person's password, or require them to change their own password before they can log
in. You can stop users from being able to change their passwords also. BootLocker keeps a very detailed log of what has been happening to your
computer, and every event is stamped with the time and the date that it happened.
What isn't BootLocker?
BootLocker will not protect your computer after you have logged in. For this, I would recommend using a Windows-based screen saver with the
password option turned on. That way, even if somebody did restart your computer at the password prompt, BootLocker would still load, blocking the
user from anything that user may have been after.
