MergeEm was built to get files from the web, provide a means to extract
data from these files, and substitute the extracted data into a template
you define to create a dynamic web page file. The data is extracted from
files you periodically pull onto your machine via the web or let MergeEm
retrieve via its built in ftp and http services. Once the data has been
extracted and substituted into the template to create the page, the page
may be uploaded to the www server (via MergeEm's ftp services) with the
latest information available to your viewers. MergeEm now has the
capability built in to re-execute itself at a time interval defined by you.
New in ver 3.0.0 is a built in rule file editor. Ver 3.1.0 Opps Caching
problem fixed when getting files using timer. Ver 4.0.0 introduces 3 new
rules: Remove, Replace, and CheckAbort. Ver 4.1.0 allows continuous
processing even if a server you want info from is down. Ver 4.1 fixes
a bug in the extended file dialog. Ver 5.0 adds so many enhancements that
I recommend you see New in Version 5.0 in the Help File or MergeEm on home
page. Version 5.1.0 fixes a bug that WILL affect multifile variable parsing.
Ver 5.2 provides the option of retaining new lines in extracted text or
replacing them with spaces. Ver 5.3 eliminates file size as a constraint.
Ver 5.4 introduces a whole host of new features, see the help file
