Introduction:
Given that today my internet connection is not working i decided to write a tutorial about a crackme that i have in my harddisk that's bengaly crackme number one... I included it in the package so you won't have to look for it ! ;)
Essay:
Let's fire w32dasm and open our victim for seeing it's source, go on the string references and find the error message it gives when we input a wrong serial code ("bah loser... go to krobar.cjb.net"); once you found it double click on the reference and you'll be at the call of the error box function:

Uhm... this function is called by two different jumps : sub_4010EA+F2 j, sub_4010EA+11A j... interesting... Let's have a look at the two functions:

Nah, it's not this... Yeah this is not our man because it looks our string and if it is made by a single character it gives us the error message... Let's take a look to sub_4010EA+11A j:

Aha ! Gotcha ! This is our man uhm... it compares eax and ebx and if they differe it jumps, so in eax or in ebx there's the right code ! Yeah ! Let's load the process (CTRL+L), then we set a breakpoint on execute on 00401202, F9, let's insert fake stuff, name: dbrain code:132456789 for me, let's press F9 again, when the execution stops we are at 00401202 let's take the eax value and we see that it is 75BCD15h (123456789d) so our correct code should be in ebx, it's value is 2EDDh (11997d)... Let's Try it ! :) WOW IT WORKED ! :)
Conclusions:
I hope this tutorial helped you a bit understanding the basics of serial fishing, i am saying that this is really simple but it's a good starting point for conqering the world ahahahha (just joking) %) Study hard and you will be able to fuck any kinda code ! :)
