    SocketTools Secure Library Edition is a collection of DLLs that 
    supports secure data connections over the Internet or a local network. 
    It includes client interfaces for SSL-compliant versions of the 
    Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTPS), File Transfer Protocol (FTPS), 
    Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTPS) and other popular application 
    protocols PLUS all the standard Library Edition DLLs. Almost all 
    details of the standard SSL protocol are hidden within the DLLs, 
    enabling developers to produce secure client applications with only 
    small additional considerations beyond those needed for non-secure 
    versions of those same applications. ItÆs ideal for languages such as 
    Visual C/C++, Delphi, FoxPro, Clarion, scripting tools, or those 
    languages that donÆt handle ActiveX components well (or at all). The 
    primary advantages to the Library Edition is performance with a minimal
    footprint in terms of memory usage and disk space requirements.
