Phoscyon v1.1 has been released. In the new version performance
improvement has been done and it works up to 50% faster now. Also
new Play Live mode has beed added which allows you to play with
Phoscyon directly from keyboard. Some bug fixes was made too.
In the new Play Live mode the notes responsible for Gate, Accent,
Slide are not used. Gate appears with Note On message, Accent with
note with velocity above 100 (in the MIDI range 0-127), and Slide
between two notes overlapping together.
When Play Live mode is Off the behavior of Phoscyon is exactly the
same like in the Seq Ex mode in previous version 1.0.
Taking classic analog sound a step further, PHOSCYON outperforms
other Bass Lines by extending the sound shaping abilities of the
classic 80's synth. Features such as chordal arpeggio mode, a bpm
synced sweep resonator and accent envelope, colorful distortion
modifiers, and variable threshold gating can all be accessed via
midi and played back with PHOSCYON'S advanced pattern builder.
Diehard fans of the original well-known Bass Line will be impressed
with PHOSCYON's emulative ability and well as with the ease of
shaping new sounds never before heard on the original. PHOSCYON
creates vintage sounds that outperform modular synthesizers costing
thousands more, and by adding to the familiar Bass Line interface
additional sound shaping tools, we at D16 Group feel that PHOSCYON
is in a class all by itself.
PHOSCYON's designers are also musicians who believe that to keep
electronic music relevant, it needs to evolve -- just like any other
genre. One way forward is by making forward thinking software. Be it
Techno, Acid, Triphop, IDM, D&B, Ambient, or any other genre-bending
music, PHOSCYON will take your sound a step further.
