Overview
NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 cameras offers a mobile and easy-to-use
solution. The driver software integrates with NI Measurement &
Automation Explorer, so you can easily configure your camera.
You can also quickly set up your system by connecting an IEEE
1394 camera to your computer and immediately begin acquiring
images. With a set of easy-to-use programs, you can quickly
create applications in LabVIEW or Measurement Studio, by
creating VIs or directly accessing the C library functions.
VISA:
The Virtual Instrument Software Architecture (VISA) is a standard for
configuring, programming, and troubleshooting instrumentation
systems comprising GPIB, VXI, PXI, serial (RS232/485), Ethernet,
and/or USB interfaces. VISA provides the programming interface
between the hardware and development environments such as NI
LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and Measurement Studio for Microsoft Visual
Studio.
NI-VISA is the National Instruments implementation of the VISA I/O
standard. NI-VISA includes software libraries, interactive utilities
such as NI Spy and the VISA Interactive Control, and configuration
programs for all your development needs. NI-VISA is standard across
the National Instruments product line. With NI-VISA, you can remain
confident that your software development will not become obsolete
as your instrumentation interface hardware needs evolve into the
future.
RIO:
Using the LabVIEW FPGA Module, you can configure the FPGA on
National Instruments reconfigurable I/O hardware simply by creating
a LabVIEW block diagram. Because your block diagram executes in
hardware, you have direct, immediate control over all of the I/O
signals on the reconfigurable I/O hardware. You can achieve high-
performance, user-configurable timing and synchronization and
onboard decision making. With LabVIEW FPGA technology, NI delivers
user-defined hardware for a wide spectrum of applications, such as
custom discrete and analog control, simulation, digital protocol
emulation and other applications that require precise timing and
control.
