Forget the complex and lengthy process of exporting to a proprietary
format, running various command-line tools to merge your data and then
view the result in an external program. Via the viewport menu, you only
need one click to open the Elixys extended view and see what your scene
will look like with a real-time renderer. Useful options for navigation
and renderering are found in the pop-up menu.
The LXS Viewer relies on our Irion technology and internally uses the LXS
Exporter to optimally export the scene to our world format in memory, so
it benefits from the best of both technologies:
* Thanks to its picture cache, the process is very fast to update your
modifications, so you can leave an LXS Viewer open and refresh it as
needed instantly.
* Since the exporter and the Irion 3D Engine support a lot of
features, you can preview almost all that is feasible in real-time.
Meshes with modifiers, primitives, shapes, target controllers,
direct/point/spot lights, light projectors, and skinned meshes with
Max bones or Character Studio.
* The DX9 renderer provides fast and high-quality real-time rendering.
It supports many options of 3DS Max standard material:
self-illumination maps, environment mapping, Ambient Occlusion maps,
Parallax bump-mapping from height maps or Normal maps, as well as
extra features like 2-levels detail-mapping. More features are
coming (Perspective Shadow Mapping).
* Get accurate previews by attaching texture advanced settings to
specify the format (8,16,32 bits, DXTC) and the parameters of each
texture (point/linear/anisotropic filtering, mipmapping
Level-Of-Detail and border color).
* Replay your animations. All standard animation controllers are
supported for nodes position/rotation/scale, various parameters of
scene/lights/materials/cameras and skinned characters.
