FlexDB Access was made for effective database information
management. Through a graphical interface taking control over
program functions should be easy even for an inexperienced user.
Preposition in making FlexDB Access was to build user friendly,
easy to use and not expensive database reporting tool. During the
time we was writing this software we made a decision of applying
database editing options as well. Result of our work is a software
which helps to manage database - view, edit and report its
content.
The main goal standing in front of FlexDB Access is to give
users a simple tool for building SQL query, searching the
specified database content and creating reports from those works.
FlexDB Access should also be helpful in creating variable forms in
order to edit database information. Every report created in FlexDB
Access can be saved as a file - we give You a possibility to
choose a various kind of files (pdf, rtf, htm and more). At last our
software has to be able of printing reports-on-demand. All that
functions are available in FlexDB Access.
FlexDB Access works with every database using ODBC, OLE
DB and ADO driver for communication. In practice it is possible
to work with almost every database You want to, for example
Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Firebird and many more. Program
remembers the history of work with FlexDB Access so users don't
have to waste their time for setting initial parameters.
Both documents (forms and reports) and projects can be saved
as a files. Once a file is created user is able to load every data
connected with it by opening the file in FlexDB Access. Results of
executing the SQL queries can be exported as text or Excel files,
that they could be used in other applications. Of course there is
also a possibility of printing received material as well. In one word
- there's everything You need.
FlexDB Access is divided for a four main, functional modules:
- Connection Wizard - responsible for establishing connection
with database. It is represented as tree view window
- Data Source Wizard - tool for quick and simple data source
defining
- VisualSQL - graphical tool for building SQL queries
- Forms and Reports templates - workspace areas and editing
options for creating documents
