Although the name, "Guitar Shed" sounds like it's for guitarists-only, that's a
thing of the past. This software is also extremely useful to musicians of any
type or instrument. Our customers consist of banjo players, sitar players,
bouzouki players, horn players, even pianists and celloists...and of course,
guitar players.
Guitar Shed is a fully-integrated set of software tools for the guitarist (and
other musicians). Its tools include two separate tuners (Chromatic and Tonal),

Tone and Chromatic Tuners
Every time you play a guitar, it should be properly tuned. Guitar Shed includes
two separate, extremely robust tuners to accommodate your tuning-style...
"Chromatic" Tuner*
Our chromatic guitar tuner will tell you exactly when your guitar is perfectly
tuned, or when it's too high (sharp) or low (flat), and how far off you are from
the target note. This software tuner uses your computer's microphone or
sound-input port to actually listen to your guitar. If you're in a noisy
environment (such as the never-silent rehearsal space or even on-stage), just
plug your guitar directly into your computer's microphone jack and get an
extremely accurate tune within seconds!
The simple interface is very easy-to-see, while the display shows you exactly
what you need to know. There's even an interactive "Colorize" mode that makes
the background glow red if you're sharp, or green if you're flat - an awesome
feature for tuning at a distance. Guitar Shed's chromatic tuner is also highly
advanced. For expert users, the actual frequency (Hz), target frequency (Hz) and
offset are always available.
"Tone" Tuner
Many guitar players prefer to tune their instruments by ear. This is often done
while listening to a reference note (An exact musical note), and then tuning
your guitar until it exactly matches the note sounded. Tuning your guitar using
this method also helps develop useful ear-training skills.
Guitar Shed's tone tuner (also called "Ear" tuner) is quite handy for storing
alternate tunings that you've created (plus, it comes bundled with tons of
presets) as well. Extras, such as the "Strum", "Pick", and "Chord Cycler" make
it easy to hear samples of any note combinations you can imagine; an essential
tool for any songwriter. Audio samples can be played using a variety of built-in
instruments such as an Acoustic Nylon Guitar, Acoustic Steel Guitar,
Jazz Guitar, Harmonics, Piano, Harpsichord, Banjo, Sitar, and even a special
Bass Guitar mode...and more.
Alternate Tunings
If you're one of those guitarists that loves to play tuned-down, with a capo, or
in some odd-tuning configuration...Guitar Shed is for you! With "Drop D" tuning
built-in, as well as an unlimited number of custom configurations, you can
easily save all of your non-standard guitar tunings.
Then, easily recall them anytime. Guitar Shed comes preloaded with tons of
non-standard tunings. If you don't find the one you need, just quickly make your
own. No more forgetting that special tuning you had for that special song. With
Guitar Shed, all of your custom tunings are always just a click away.
Plus, you can easily select the note for each string individually for one-time
quick tuning. Play a 7-string guitar? No problem, just drop the notes down and
tune. This feature also works well for musicians that play other instruments
than guitar - such as the banjo, bouzouki, sitar, and more.
Chord Library
The interactive guitar chord dictionary in Guitar Shed is like no other. We've
included over 400 individual guitar chords, all with audio samples (And in
multiple instruments!).
You can even invert every chord to show the left-handed version. Try doing that
with your average chord dictionary. The chord fingerings are very easy to view,
and there's a "simple" mode that makes it easy to see the exact chord layout
from across the room or studio.
Tablature Organizer
If you've ever tried learning a song by ear, you know how hard it can get. Do it
the easy way, and use guitar tablature - a simple form of sheet music that shows
the guitarist the exact string(s) and fingering to play.
There's an endless supply of guitar tablature (Also called "Tabs") on the
Internet. If you've already discovered this wonderful resource, you'll
definitely appreciate the easy organizational features of the Guitar Shed
Tablature Organizer.
Collecting guitar tabs can get confusing, creating files all over your computer.
Our tab organizer helps eliminate this by keeping all of your tabs in a single
place. All sorted by artist and/or song title.
Extra features include automatic scrolling for easy play-along, fully adjustable

kind. Its fully adjustable timing allows you to set the exact BPM (Beats Per
Minute), choose an instrument from many samples, and set a variety of options.
There's even a flashing light to tell you when it hits beat-1 (The first count),

Jam Machine
One of our favorite practicing methods is to play along with other instrumental
