Installation:
1: Install 1CPG, activate it's toolbar.
2: Shut down any open Internet Explorer windows, to make
sure none of the program files are running.
3: Run the crackkeygen, enter name+company, hit the right
button. It should ask you permission to patch the files.
If not, either your files are already patched, or you
have an incompatible version of 1CPG. Patching will not
be attempted if files are wrong. Keyfile will be generated
in the program directory, and you have a licensed product.
If the keygen gives an error about opening registry key, most
likely 1CPG is wrongly installed, or you have a new version
where they have changed things. Try adding the key
HKLM\SOFTWARE\ZaberSoft\1ClickPicGrabber . Add a value of type
string called "InstallDir", with the path to the program files.
This is a crack+keygen combination - why?
The program uses 2048 bit RSA for it's protection. Factorizing
2048 bits of RSA (to make a 100% valid keygen) would take more
than a couple of lifetimes. So, I generated a new public/private
keypair, and patch the public part in the application files.
I can then use my own hacked private key to generate a valid
file.
Since I'm patching the program, I could just have disabled the
limitation (that would be _very_) easy - but I feel a keygen is
nicer. Key format was... interesting. Fun the protection is used
so weakly.
note: this is the exact same keygen exe as for the 1.1 release,
the code is generic and zabersoft apperantly hasn't changed the
RSA keypair nor crypted/packed their files. Yay. Also rather
funny, their website says that they released 2.0 on 2004/01/01 :)
