DESCRIPTION

Unios is an application that will come in handy whenever you need 
to convert units.  The application is quick, easy to use, and has 
built in support for lots of units in the categories of currency, 
capacity, distance, pressure, speed, temperature, surface area, 
time, volume, and weight.

There's no problem even if the units you want aren't on the list 
because Unios is flexible enough to let you define custom units.

There's also a feature that lets you perform quick conversions 
between two units when you know their relationship to a third, 
common unit.

Whether your goal is to put something in units you can understand, 
find a common denominator to use for calculations, or satisfy your 
curiosity, Unios can give you conversions in a flash.


REVISION HISTORY

- v1.9  on 1998-11-25: Applied regional settings to numbers.
- v1.85 on 1998-03-15: Updated units, changed behavior so that the 
  calculator will not run again if it's already running, and made it 
  possible to update default units without losing custom ones when 
  the version changes.
- v1.8  on 1997-06-22: Updated installation procedure and package info.
- v1.7  on 1997-03-03: Minor adjustments and more units.
- v1.6  on 1996-11-13: Minor adjustments. 
- v1.0  on 1996-05-01: Initial release. 


SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

- Windows 95, 98, NT v4.0, or later.
- Enough free disk space to accommodate the software (less than 0.5MB).


PACKAGE CONTENTS

- SetupUnios.exe: Software product setup file.
- ReadMe.txt: This file.
- File_ID.diz: Product identification summary.


INSTALLATION

Close the application if it is currently running, then run the 
SetupUnios.exe file and follow the instructions.


UPGRADES

Close the application if it is currently running, then install 
the new version on top of the old one, unless otherwise specified 
in this file.


UNINSTALLATION

Close the application if it is currently running.  Click the Windows 
"Start" button, and select "Settings", then "Control Panel".  
Double-click the "Add/Remove Programs item".  Proceed by 
double-clicking the line corresponding to this product and follow 
the instructions.

Note that configuration files, generally with a ".dat" extension, 
and registration files, namely "Registration Form.txt", may be 
created by the application and will not be deleted for your 
convenience in case you wish to refer to them at a later date.  
Delete these files manually if you do not want them.
