The APDS is a set of several components. The user will work with three
of them: PhoneServ, PBooks and SMSs.
PhoneServ is a part communicating with the phone. While running it doesn't
display any window but only icon on the system bar (mostly by the system
time indicator).
PBooks is a program for phone books which it can edit, back up and
synchronize.
SMSs works with short messages. It looks like most e-mail clients. It can
read, send (to more recipients at the same time) and archive messages to
folders.
PhoneServ is communicating with your phone and PBooks and SMSs are "higher
layer parts" communicating with PhoneServ.
APDS supports:
Alcatel: 501 a 701
Bosch: 9xx (908, 909, 909 Dual S)
Ericsson: all models starting from GA628, it means 6xx, 7xx, 8xx, A1018,
T10, T18, A2618, A2628, T20, T28, T29, T39, R310, R320, R380, R520, T65,
T68 including modules DI-27 and DI-28
Motorola: Timeport P7389/L7089/250/260/280, V.3688, V.3690, V.50
Nokia: all models 51xx a 61xx, 3210, 3310, 3330, 5510, 7110, 6210, 6310 and
6310i (these four last models you can use with common FBUS cable - DLR-3 or
any clone is not needed. You can use also 8810, 8210, 8850, 8310, 5210,
6510, 8250 and 8910 models but only via infrared connection. We don't
recommend using national (accented) characters in phone book(s) when
communicating via infrared port (which is not problem when using a
cable).
Panasonic: GD 30, 50, 67, 70, 75, 76, 87, 90, 92, 93, 95, 96
Philips: Azalis, Xenium, Ozeo and new Fisio models
Siemens: x10 (S10, Active, E10, C10 and all similar types), x25 (S25
