   The average military company sized unit has anywhere from 100-200 
   individual weapons with a matching number of both gas masks and 
   bayonets. Now add on to this already considerable number of individual 
   items which must usually be issued all at the same time crew served 
   weapons, night visions devices, compasses and a number of other 
   specialized and highly sensitive items. Perhaps you can now appreciate 
   that managing this process of mass issue, turn-in and inventory of 
   these type items is both time consuming and a major headache for most 
   military units. But wait, it gets even better as there is no software 
   of any type currently provided to make this process easier for the 
   average Supply NCO or Armorer, so everything must be done manually. I 
   know, as I had to do this manual issue, turn-in and inventory process 
   for a combat company myself for a number of years.
