DateTrack is a simple utility that keeps track of the date a file
or web page was last updated and displays the result as a text string,
saving you the trouble of remembering to enter it yourself in plain
HTML each time your edit your page. Along with the modification date,
you can add any other text you wish to the display.
It does a little more than that of course: you can track the
modification time and date of any file (ideal for creating an HTML
list of your favorite sites), display the full absolute path to the
referenced file or its filename only, and include your own text. The
text parameters are easy to set up: just type your own text and insert
a simple text code wherever you want the URL or modification date to
appear in that text.
Because you might like to use DateTrack to track pages on sites
other than your own, DateTrack can also act as a link: in Reactive
mode, just click it to download the referenced page or file. This also
lets you create an 'all-in-one menu' of DateTrack links pointing to
every page on your own site and providing the last modification date
for each. Also in Reactive mode, an optional second text-string can
replace the first when the mouse moves over the text, with the same
options to display URL and/or modification date.

Installing: Since this is for a java applet, you will have to
edit all of your HTML sources. In the applet tag, add the following
lines:
If you are using this applet on your hard drive, use the base
directory as the Base value. Ex: C:\tmg, use 'tmg'.
Once you have generated a Serial for your website base domain,
copy the key and paste into the Key param value (Replace 0-0-0-0 with
the good key!). Make sure that the value you define for Base is the
actual base name of your website, otherwise the applet will remain
unregistered! Enjoy!
