║ RELEASE NOTES:Home Cookin uses the same chapter and recipe organization ║
║ you are used to using with a traditional cookbook. You separate your ║
║ recipes by chapters, and Home Cookin keeps everything sorted alphabetically║
║ for you. Of course, you can name chapters and recipes as you wish, and ║
║ divide recipes into any arrangement that works well for you. To provide for║
║ your current and future requirements, Home Cookin supports over 4 billion, ║
║ instantly accessable, recipes in a single database (Trial version is ║
║ limited to 100 recipes) The primary function of meal management software ║
║ is to store and organize the recipes you have collected. While most recipe ║
║ programs allow you to add your own recipes, they usually restrict what you ║
║ can enter, or force you to use a complicated scheme of predefined ║
║ ingredients. ║

║ Home Cookin uses free-form text entry for easier use and greater ║
║ flexibility. When you add or edit a recipe, you just start typing. No ║
║ complicated fields and no restrictive entry rules. Use whatever formatting ║
║ styles you prefer. ║
║ ║
║ To assist you in your recipe entry, an enhanced spell checker verifies that║
║ words are spelled correctly and formatted the way you like. And, the phrase║
║ list is easy to edit if you need to make changes or additions. Because a ║
║ photo can often make a recipe more appealing than text alone, Home Cookin ║
║ allows full color photos to be included with any recipe. Photos are ║
║ optional, of course, and the photo option is invisible if unused. You may ║
║ add a photo to as few or as many recipes as you wish, and you can use a ║
║ photo by itself if no text is needed. ║
║ ║
║ To reduce the amount of typing you must do, Home Cookin imports most ║
║ popular recipe formats including Meal-Master, Mastercook, and Compu-Chef. ║
║ And because many recipes are unformatted or not well defined, a special ║
║ manual import function is built-in to make importing these recipes easy. ║
║ ║
║ If you want to share your recipes with other users, Home Cookin can export ║
║ your selected recipes complete with photo's. For compatibility with a wide ║
║ range of software products, you can also export to the popular Meal-Master ║
║ format. ║

║ For easy exchange with other applications, you can import or export ║
║ directly to Windows clipboard, and long filenames are supported under ║
║ Windows 95 and later. ║

║ While Home Cookin's organizational style makes it easy to find most recipes║
║ you may want to find recipes with a specific title, or a unique ingredient ║
║ or preparation method. To aid you in these types of searches, Home Cookin ║
║ features a high-speed Find function. ║

║ The nested search functions allow very simple or complex search operations.║
║ You can search specific fields and/or chapters, find recipes with photo's, ║
║ search for duplicate titles, and more. ║

║ Because grocery shopping is a necessary part of cooking, Home Cookin ║
║ includes a powerful grocery manager. Preparing a shopping list is as easy ║
║ as clicking on the items you need and printing. And, an easy to use search ║
║ function assists you in quickly finding the items you need. ║

║ A running total is computed as you prepare your list so you always know how║
║ much you will be spending. Then, when you are ready to print, the list is ║
║ sorted by store and location to make your shopping trip as quick and ║
║ painless as possible. ║

║ Grocery items are easily added and edited when needed. Items can include a ║
║ default quantity so that when you start a new shopping list those items ║
║ will be selected automatically. This prevents you from having to select the║
║ same items over and over everytime you start a new list. ║

║ To aid you in planning your meals, Home Cookin includes a full featured ║
║ calendar that is fully integrated with the recipe database. Simply find the║
║ recipes you want to make and then drag them to the calendar. You can plan ║
║ as far ahead as you want, place as many meals as you wish on each day, and ║
║ even place the same meal on multiple days if you plan on having leftovers. ║
║ ║
║ And, since we all have to plan around other events in our lives, you can ║
║ also attach any number of notes to days in the calendar. These can be used ║
║ to remind you that you are going out to eat, to plan for special holidays, ║
║ to reference a recipe in another cookbook, or any other notes you wish to ║
║ leave yourself. ║

║ Most of the time, you will only want to print or export a single recipe. ║
║ But, there are occasions when you will want to print out your favorite ║
║ recipes for a friend, print all the meals you are making that week, or ║
║ export a special collection of recipes for emailing to other users. For ║
║ this reason, Home Cookin allows you to mark multiple recipes for printing, ║
║ exporting, moving, copying, or deleting. ║
║ ║
║ For the user who wants something unique, the graphical interface can be ║
║ configured to achieve any appearance you desire. You can select from a ║
║ variety of background patterns, and can select the colors to use for all ║
║ segments of the user interface. Several sample configurations are included ║
