The purpose of DocuMentor is to give a programmer an easy way to document
his/her work AFTER the work is completed in an automated way. DocuMentor
reads a Visual Basic project and uses Microsoft Word to generate a report
of all the Subroutines,Functions,Classes,Methods and Property Procedures.
Your report may contain the header and comments (up to the first executable
line of code) or all the code. It is also useful for creating readable
output for code walkthroughs.
This tool is great for creating an object interface document that can change
as the object changes.Just keep the comments in the code current,and you can
produce a new interface document after the changes are in place.Only comment
in one place. What a concept!
Another feature is the Search function. This searches through the selected
code in a project and produces a report highlighting the lines in the
Subroutines, Functions, and Classes that match. This is ideal for producing
impact analysis on change requests for large projects.
