BENTLEY Structural optimizes MicroStation TriForma for structural design and construction documentation. Using parametric and solid modeling tools, structural engineers can create models of buildings, plants and other structures that contain both geometric and attribute information. Rule-based floor plans, sections and elevations, as well as quantity and cost reports, can be extracted from these 'intelligent' models, ensuring coordination of construction documentation and synchronization with the design.
A variety of powerful features, such as automatic coping (cutback of connecting members) and global changes of member types and sizes, facilitate rapid and accurate modeling. Analytical models can be exported to structural analysis applications, while Visual Basic programs can further extend functionality--for parametric handrails, platforms, stairs and ladders, for example. Structural for MicroStation TriForma is fully integrated with ProjectWise, as well as Bentley Enterprise Navigator, Bentley Interference Manager, Bentley Schedule Simulator and Bentley Dynamic Animator.
BentleyÆs Structural for MicroStation TriForma provides an interface to MIDAS structural analysis software. It allows structural engineers to execute linear and nonlinear structural analyses of steel and reinforced concrete structures, as well as weight optimization of steel frame structures. Designers can accurately analyze structural scenarios directly from the model, minimizing data modeling errors and omissions.
installation ----- >
1. run setup.exe and choose install type you like
2. if asked by OS to reboot, do so
3. copy all included .lic files into your \Bentley\Program\Licensing\ dir
4. copy inlcuded licnsmgr.dll file into your \Bentley\Program\ dir and overwrite existing one.
5. copy included salimgr.dll file into your \Bentley\Program\MicroStation\mdlsys\asneeded and overwrite existing one
this is required only in case you're about to utilize Interference Manager of TriForma
6. go and design new Golden Gate Bridge ...
PS. in case you are already using original or other patched .lic or .dll files
be sure to backup them at first.
This release requires MicroStation 2004 Edition and MicroStation TriForma 2004 Edition v8.05.00.71

flexibility of Bentley Structural allows you to use many international
and regional industry standards or easily customize and expand these
standards to meet the needs of your practice.
Bentley Structural building information modeling (BIM) methodology
supports 2D/3D or analytical workflows. Fully integrated physical
modeling and analytical modeling allows you to work in either view at
any time, while all changes are automatically synchronized between the
two. In addition, drawings are automatically generated using
industry-standard representations of the structural systems -- all of
which are fully customizable to meet your needs.
