MIMIC Simulator offers a unique and an inexpensive way to creates
a real world lab environment. It provides an interactive hands-on
lab for quality assurance, development, marketing, sales,
evaluation, deployment and training of enterprise management
applications. It creates a customizable virtual environment
populated with devices like routers, hubs, switches, probes,
cable modems and workstations.
The MIMIC Simulator Suite includes:
MIMIC SNMP Agent Simulator
MIMIC SNMP Agent Simulator creates a network of 10,000 SNMP-
manageable devices on one Intel-based PC or Sun Sparc. With
support for any SNMP-based device you can run a variety of device
"config"urations with your management application.
MIMIC Cable Modem Simulator
The MIMIC Cable Modem Simulator, the industry"s first integrated
simulation tool supporting DOCSIS, allows cable modem developers
and cable companies to perform real world, integrated cable and
internetworking device simulations. MIMIC allows suppliers of
cable modems to design, develop and test their products in a
virtual and scalable network environment, assuring customers that
their cable modems will work properly when deployed across
heterogeneous environments.
MIMIC IOS Simulator
MIMIC IOS Simulator fully supports Cisco IOS software and SNMPv1,
v2, v2c, v3. Up to 10,000 devices can be simulated in a single
workstation, and an unlimited number of devices can be simulated
by distributing it over multiple workstations. An extensible
environment allows new MIBs and devices to be added to the
simulation.

INSTALLATION:

Unzip, unrar and install as root
When asked if you have the licenses answer yes but do not enter
any keys during installation
Copy the license files from crack.zip to the "config" folder
inside the program folder
Copy the optional protocol modules from the "bin/dynamic/
optional" folder inside the program folder to the "bin/dynamic"
folder
You have now unlocked the full MIMIC Simulator Suite, including
the SNMP Agent, Cable Modem and IOS Simulators
