Catalog Extreme 4.0 Basic is the fourth generation of the marketÆs most
flexible ad and catalog production tool. You can create pages and turn
them into complete ads, brochures or catalogs, using modules that consist
of text, image and decoration fields. All text is automatically stylized
and images are automatically scaled via basic adjustment settings.
WYSIWYG Real-Time Preview
Since the design of modules and pages is always created directly on the
InDesign page, module designs û complete with correctly stylized text,
scaled images and all styling properties û will be shown directly on the
page with Real-Time WYSIWYG.
Intuitive module design
Catalog Extreme 4.0 Basic makes it easy to create modules. Simply create
the text fields, image fields and decoration fields you need and add the
graphic properties you want, e.g. lines, color fills, etc., directly in
InDesign. Save the module when you like the way it looks.
Simple tile design of the page
Your pages are designed directly in InDesign. When you want to create a
new design, Extreme will create a number of tiles on your page. You can
remove or add tiles according to your needs. If you click on one or more
tiles and select a module design, the module design will be applied to the
tile(s). In addition to selecting modules for a tile, you can also set up
complete ads or skip a tile in the page design.
Floating Page Design
You can move the tiles around while creating pages. Extreme will detect
the exact location of every tile, and your design will now be flexible
without the stereotypical look that normally characterizes automated
production.
Automatic separate image and text content
If you want different language versions in the same document, you would
typically need to apply the different language versions to different
layers in the document. Extreme 4.0 Basic allows you to separate image and
text content. Simply select the ôMove Text Fields to Next Layerö feature.
