ChemPen3D combines chemical structure drawing and molecular
mechanics. ChemPen3D simplifies the illustration of chemistry
documentation for chemists, chemistry educators, students and
chemical workers. With ChemPen3D you easily create diagrams using
point and click. ChemPen3D is also a basic molecular mechanics
program . ChemPen3D's extended DREIDING molecular mechanics force
field is used to compute molecular geometries, strain energies and
molecular interaction By combining the DREIDING force field a
partition function ChemPen3D's reaction tool lets the user build and
analyze the energetics of chemical reactions. With the Measurement
Tool bond lengths, bond angles torsion angles and interatomic
distances can be displayed.
