│ Protector Plus 2000 antivirus software has an easy to use manual │
│ scan and cure program. This program can be used to manually scan │
│ and clean any fixed, network or floppy drive or a directory, at │
│ any time. Results of the scan are displayed on the screen as well │
│ as written to the log file. │
│ A set of folders and files that need to be checked frequently can │
│ be grouped under a single scan task. Once created, all folders and │
│ files grouped under the task can be scanned according to a schedule │
│ or at will. Any number of scan tasks can be created. │
│ User defined tasks that are created can be scanned at regular │
│ frequencies. Scheduled scan tasks can be performed hourly, daily, │
│ weekly or monthly. │
│ Protector Plus 2000 has a Real-time scanner that will check for, │
│ and remove viruses if found, whenever the following events occur - │
│ when files are being downloaded from the Internet, when files are │
│ accessed from floppy disks, network or local hard drives of the │
│ computer. The Real-time scanner detects the virus on the fly and │
│ takes corrective action as configured by the user. This ensures │
│ that all files in the computer's hard drive are free of known virus, │
│ as long as Protector Plus 2000 works in an on-access mode. │
│ While Protector Plus 2000 is doing a scan, other features can be │
│ simultaneously accessed without having to terminate the scan. One │
│ can view reports, alter scan configuration, download updates, etc., │
│ even while the scan is in operation. │
│ Protector Plus 2000 has the quarantine facility to safely keep the │
│ infected files for further analysis. The quarantined files will be │
│ encrypted and they cannot infect the system. The quarantined files │
│ can be scanned after downloading the next upgrade and they can be │
│ restored after removing the virus. │
│ Protector Plus 2000 can create a Rescue Disk that is useful in │
│ restoring a computer if it should become non-bootable. The Rescue │
│ Disk contains critical System information and some Protector Plus │
│ files, which can restore corrupt boot sectors and partition tables. │
│ As the Rescue Disk can replace corrupt boot sectors with a clean │
│ copy, it is a generic solution to all kinds of boot sector viruses. │
│ Protector Plus 2000 connects automatically to our website and checks │
│ for the availability of upgrades. If it finds either a product │
│ update or new virus database files, it downloads and automatically │
│ upgrades the Protector Plus software installed on the computer. │

│ document (Word 6, 95 and 97) viruses, Excel (Excel 5, 95 and 97) │
│ viruses and Powerpoint viruses. Protector Plus 2000 will also │
